Explore Michigan Trails
Here are some resources to help you get out and explore everything Michigan has to offer the horseback rider. Michigan’s trails are mainly good-footing, sandy and mindfully crafted through gorgeous treed forests, many with water crossings or destinations. Find adventure in our parks and recreation areas in southern Michigan, and the state and federal forest land in northern lower and the Upper Peninsula. A great way to explore our state is to visit a few different riding areas during a week to 10 day trip. Reach out on the Michigan Horse Trails Directory facebook group for help planning your trip or any questions you may have. Take a look at our unique shore-to-shore riding experience, riding from one Great Lake to another across the state. And don’t miss our Shoreline Horseback riding season in November where horseback riders dreams come true on a beautiful 3 mile stretch of the sand covered shores of Lake Michigan.
