Jenny Cook is well known for her dedication to making Great Lake shoreline horseback riding accessible for all. In the spring of 2024, she was honored with a Certificate of Pure Achievement at the Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism Stories of Inspiration. Jenny shared her story of making so many horseback riders dreams come true through her work with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to create a Shoreline Horseback Riding Season at Silver Lake State Park. Riders from Michigan and beyond can now enjoy this opportunity each year for the month of November. An amazing experience that garnered more than 2500 reservations from riders in 2024 and included riders from at least 11 states with some attending from as far away as Arizona.
